Purpose: To observe the cytotoxicity of calcium alginate hemostatic dressing and compare it with gelatin hemostatic sponge, absorbent cotton, ordinary gauze and other materials.

Method: ① Extraction method: Using DMEM high-sugar medium as the extraction medium, prepare calcium alginate hemostatic dressing, gelatin hemostatic sponge, sodium absorbent cotton, ordinary gauze extract, and set 100%, 75%, 50 %, 25%, 10% 5 concentration gradients; L-929 mouse fibroblasts were cultured for 24 h with the extract of the above materials, and the volume fraction of 10% DMEM high-glycemic culture medium was used as a blank control, with a concentration of 5% Methyl sulfoxide DMEM high glucose culture medium was used as the positive control group to observe cell proliferation and morphological changes. ②Direct contact method: L-929 mouse fibroblasts were respectively inoculated into calcium alginate hemostatic dressing, gelatin hemostatic sponge, and absorbed Cultivate on cotton and ordinary gauze for 24 h, and observe the changes in cell morphology.

Results and conclusions: 1 Extraction method: the cytotoxicity of different concentration gradient seaweed fiber hemostatic dressings, gauze, and nanoabsorbent cotton extracts are all level 1, which meets the biological evaluation standard of GB/T16886/ISO10993 medical devices; 100%, The cytotoxicity of 75% gelatin hemostatic sponge extract is level 3, which severely inhibits cell proliferation. 2 Direct contact method: the cytotoxicity of gauze and seaweed fiber hemostatic dressing is level 1, soaked cotton is level 2, and gelatin hemostatic sponge is cytotoxic. It is grade 3. It shows that the calcium alginate hemostatic dressing has no cytotoxicity.
