Statistics show that in 2013, my country's total export of medical dressings was US$2.381 billion, a year-on-year increase of 3.94%, accounting for 12.31% of the export of medical device commodities.

This trend of market recovery has also reshaped the confidence of many domestic dressing manufacturers.

At present, the overall medical dressing industry in my country is showing an overall forward development trend, occupying a relatively stable market share in the international market, and possessing a certain degree of resistance to pressure and risk tolerance in the international market competition.

However, the scale of the enterprise is still dominated by small and medium-sized enterprises. The dominant products produced and exported are mainly bulk products such as natural material medical dressings such as cotton wool, gauze and bandages, while high-end medical dressings composed of new materials are not involved much.

However, the production of high-end medical dressings is mainly concentrated in European and American companies. There is still a certain gap between domestic domestic companies and foreign companies in terms of R&D investment, personnel reserves and technical support in this regard, and there is a lack of independent brands and marketing channels for high-end medical dressings.

However, because of the huge profit margin between the production cost and the sales price of high-end medical dressings, it has attracted the attention of many domestic companies.

However, how domestic dressing companies can seize market shares in the new high-end dressing industry still needs to observe the overall domestic and foreign market environment.

At present, domestic prices are rising rapidly, and labor, raw materials, and freight costs are correspondingly increased, resulting in an increase in export trade quotations, and a weakening of competitive advantages in the international market; the industry has relatively low entry barriers, and domestic medical dressing products are mainly exported by OEM, and there is little independence. High-end brands, serious product homogeneity, and a vicious cycle of low-price competition; coupled with the saturation of traditional market demand in Europe, America and Japan, and the prevalence of international trade protectionism, countries in Europe and the United States have gradually passed non-tariff barriers, such as raising quality thresholds, anti-dumping, and countervailing. Means to restrict the export of medical dressings in my country.

The above-mentioned various factors are destined to be more competitive in the market for high-end dressings.

In this regard, domestic dressing companies must focus on improving the industry's technological innovation capabilities, improving product quality and added value, cultivating independent brands, strengthening talent reserves, and gradually realizing industry transformation and upgrading and sustainable development.
